In Utah, and the surrounding contiguous States, residential and commercial exteriors typically need attention and maintenance every 5-8 years, and perhaps more often in some cases, as may be with exterior timber and wood staining, etc.

Our climate puts our exteriors through some extensive and stressful variables in temperature, including; wind, sun, snow, rain, moisture, and severe dryness. These conditions come and go several times during the course of a single year! These dramatic changes and variances can wreak havoc on our exterior finishes, such as; wood, aluminum, and masonry products. Though 5-8 years is an average, it's really just a guideline. It may be necessary to do more in certain climate conditions and locations.

It really isn’t quite as easy as it looks. Lines need to be straight, the right products need to be applied with the right coverage, and the appropriate masking, caulking, protection, and equipment is needed. Then there’s the occasional repairs, such as wall cracks, holes, dings in trim, peeling paint, stain color to match, handrails to refinish, etc, etc.
